Specifically, we recommend lifestyle choices when a patient first comes into the clinic. For this part of our series, we’re going to discuss Recreation Time, Exercise Time, and Diet.

If you’re new here, let me take a moment and introduce myself.
Again, I’m Dr. Kevin Plummer, DC …
… back in my twenties, I was competing as a decathlete in college. Two weeks before the National Championships …
… I broke my leg!
An injury that would end the season, or so I thought.
I didn’t want to use the pain meds or put on a cast.
I needed an alternative…
I know what you’re going through because I was there once…
One of my closest friends recommended I try Chiropractic.
So, I did.
In two short weeks, I competed at the National Championships, and I did so without pain.
Competing was my life.
If I had not seen the Chiropractor, I would’ve missed out on an opportunity of a lifetime. This experience is what drove me to become a Chiropractor.
Advanced Health Chiropractic serves hundreds of patients daily, and it’s still growing.
My experience is why I have the passion.
A passion for helping “you” and others overcome pain.

Okay, to start, let’s discuss recreation time.
This is important because we can determine how healthy you’ll be. Your activity level affects your health at every level.
Example: Every patient who has taken our advice of adding only a few minutes of walking each day has improved their health.
So how long has it been since you went for a walk?
Exercise time.
This is important because any change can get your joint and spine moving.
You’re in the predicament you’re in due to a lack of core strength, flexibility, or fitness.
Even some of our most athletic patients need direction on improving their core.
We get athletes back on the playing field fast by helping them strengthen their core. What are you doing for exercise?
Improve your health and diet.
This is important because Diet is the most essential aspect of your health. Lots of research supports this. In our practice, we know this to be true.
Sugary foods and a sedentary lifestyle cause inflammation.
Inflammation causes pain and dysfunction.
When a patient takes our advice and decides to replace a sugary snack with fruit or vegetables, they see improvements in their health.
When did you last have a vegetable or fruit as a snack?
