PART 1 OF 3: AWARD-WINNING CHIROPRACTIC CARE

Hi! I’m Dr. Kevin Plummer, DC! I’m the owner and founder of Advanced Health Chiropractic.

Today we’re going to discuss part 1 of 3 parts about how Advanced Health Chiropractic administers award-winning chiropractic care. We have a distinct way to assess a patient on their first visit to our clinic.

If you’re new here, let me take a moment to introduce myself.

Again, I’m Dr. Kevin Plummer, DC!

I know what you’re going through.

I was there once in my twenties when I competed as a college decathlete. Two weeks before the National Championships, I broke my leg, which was a season-ending injury.

I didn’t want to use pain meds or wear a cast.

I needed an alternative. 

One of my friends recommended I try chiropractic, so I did. And in two short weeks …

…I competed at the National Championships, and I did so without pain. 

Competing was my life.

If it weren’t for Chiropractic, I would’ve missed out on an opportunity of a lifetime. This experience is what drove me to become a Chiropractor.

To begin:

Every Advanced Health Chiropractic examination starts with an evaluation of your lifestyle choices.

Your lifestyle choices are important because they impact your health. 

Recently I evaluated a patient. She has several foster children she’ll do anything for, but she puts herself second in doing so. 

She puts off working out, getting to bed on time, eating healthy, and making better decisions. Ultimately, she undermines her health and her capacity to care for her children.

How long has it been since you’ve considered your lifestyle choices?

The next thing we check during an A.H.C. examination is Patient Mechanics. 

How a person moves affects the health of the body. 

We have several patients that are contractors, spending most of their days in many precarious positions. Doing so leads to chronic neck, back, wrist, and knee pain, all kinds of joint pain.

Without a good understanding of biomechanics, the way you move …

… whether at work, playing a sport, in the gym, or at home, you predispose yourself to strains, sprains, and long-lasting arthritis. 

When was the last time you had a professional check your biomechanics?

The last thing we test during an A.H.C. examination is a patient’s health. 

Do you have chronic pain?

Are you often sick?

How much stress do you have in your life?

It is essential to know because the condition of a patient’s entire body affects how they heal and recover. We have several patients who have very stressful lives and are often sick.

As a result, their capacity to heal becomes compromised, and the result they get from therapy becomes reduced.
